Thomas Cook Airlines has unveiled a new name and updated its social media profiles to reflect its growth beyond just flight-only sales.

The airline’s website first launched as flythomascook.com n December 2004, to offer seats on its aircraft to independent travellers not travelling on a package holiday.

Christoph Debus, chairman of the Thomas Cook Group Airlines, said: “The new website name signals our intent to be more visible and more recognisable as an airline, with more information and functions than just a site to buy flights.

“With our recent announcement of our new routes to New York and Miami from Manchester – and of course our new aircraft – we’re continuing to transform our airline and the online experience we provide to our customers is key to this.

“As part of the Thomas Cook Group’s digital transformation, we’ve recently updated our website to reflect its growing importance, ensuring we’re able to compete as more and more travellers book online. Our fully-responsive site means our customers can book flights wherever and however they want to.”
