Agents will have access to new generation itinerary management via live integration with Sabre.

Experiential itinerary management platform Umapped is to work with the GDS to address the problem of fragmented communication and static booking confirmations between travel suppliers and their customers.

Using Umapped allows agents to aggregate trip details and content from multiple sources, providing their clients with a centralised place to find all their plans, ensuring they have the latest updates.

All bookings and changes made in Sabre will be automatically updated in Umapped, delivering real-time alerts and notifications to travellers.

The new initiative claims to provide enhanced value to travellers and additional revenue opportunities for Sabre-connected agencies who can access a mobile-optimised platform to send relevant offers.

Umapped has so far signed more than 30 Sabre agencies to access the live connections.

The platform is provided on a white label basis for agencies, OTA’s and hospitality brands “to engage with their customers throughout the entire travel lifecycle”.

“One of the most popular features is the Umapped Messenger, which enables multi-channel two-way group messaging between travel providers and their clients.

The new functionality is accessible from the web, mobile apps, via email and SMS.

Umapped co-founder and chief executive Lisa Israelovitch said: “We are proud that an industry leader like Sabre has partnered with us and we look forward to continuing our collaborations on new initiatives and innovations that propel both companies.”
