An initial pre-paid card for students offering cash back on spend within STA stores has been developed as a combined student ID and pre-paid travel cash card.

Tuxedo relationship manager, Drew Cockton, said: “Pre-paid cards are now a crucial part of a travel agent’s business and streamlining the process by using our services will save time for agents and facilitate an additional revenue stream.

“The creation of the ISIC Cashcard gives students a safe payment method to use while travelling abroad and customers can earn five per cent cashback on whatever they spend in STA.

“For example, if they purchase a €10,000 round the world trip, which they often do, then they get €500 credited back onto their card to spend anywhere.

“We’re delighted to have launched the ISIC Cashcard into Germany and we are already seeing strong uptake from agents. It’s fantastic to be continuing our successful partnership with STA.”
