ITB 2016: Distribusion Technologies scoops prestigious travel start-up award

The Berlin based travel tech start-up Distribusion Technologies scooped the Best Practice Award 2016 on the eve of the ITB trade show in Berlin.

The Berlin based travel tech start-up Distribusion Technologies scooped the Best Practice Award 2016 on the eve of the ITB trade show in Berlin.

The accolade was awarded by the German Travel Industry Club (TIC), Distribusion being picked out of 30 entries by a panel of 20 industry experts.

The firms has developed an innovative global distribution system (GDS) for intercity and shuttle bus products.

The technology simplifies the global bus ticket sales and allows travel websites, OTAs and travel agencies to sell multiple intercity bus products aggregated through just one system.

Distribusion founder, Julian Hauck, said: “For us as a start-up it is great to get honoured by experts of the established travel industry.

“We are more than happy that we convinced the jury of our idea to make intercity bus products easily available for resellers worldwide.

“Since our launch last year, we get a lot of positive feedback and the award is a great appreciation for the hard work of our entire team. We are quite confident to release some more positive news soon.”
