Coronavirus: Vibe Systems creates flight management tool for Cayman Island repatriations

System built in days to replace manual process

UK travel software firm Vibe Systems has launched repatriation charter flight management and booking tool for Cayman Islands Government.

The Cayman Islands government approached Vibe Systems to build a bespoke booking site for their repatriation efforts during the Covid-19 crisis.

The Caribbean destination is chartering aircraft to provide an airbridge between Heathrow and Grand Cayman.

But it had a very manual, labour intensive process for booking passengers and so turned to Vibe to help.

Martin Eade, e-commerce director at Vibe Systems, said: “Using our flight allocation system, they loaded their inventory directly into Vibe which allowed passengers to book online using an easy to use customer facing online booking solution.

“This simplifies the whole process, keeps data all in one place and produces an airline approved flight manifest. The project, from inception to delivery, was done in a matter of days. We are so proud of the team for making this happen in record time.”

Cayman Islands is using the website https://otairbridge.com although bookings are made on the individual flights using private links.
