Amadeus appoints corporations head for its Travel Channels division

Amadeus has appointed Ángel Gallego as executive vice president of the corporations segment in Travel Channels.

With the corporate segment identified as one of Travel Channels’ strategic priorities, Gallego has been brought in to help corporations around the globe power smarter business travel.

Gallego was most recently working as an advisor to Aerticket AG, a Berlin-based ticket wholesaler pursuing an international expansion strategy.

In addition, he served as an advisory board member to Daka90, the leading OTA and Mobile Travel Retailer in Israel.

He also held a number of advisory and board member roles in other companies spanning the eCommerce, biotechnology, energy and fashion industries.

Gallego previously spent 15 years at Amadeus during which time he held different leadership roles such as president of Asia Pacific, vice president of distribution in WEMEA and director in Latin America.

Gallego said: “I’m really excited to re-join Amadeus and work with our 16,000+ corporate customers to power smarter business travel. Helping corporations better manage business travel and expense and improve traveler journeys is a key priority for my team and for Amadeus.
