Spanish long-haul newcomer Plus Ultra is to distribute via Travelport by signing a new multi-year content agreement.

The airline flies to South America from Madrid, including Lima and Caracas.

The first flight took off two years ago to Peru using Airbus A340 aircraft with 303 seats.

The airline’s full content and inventory will be made available to more than 68,000 Travelport-connected agencies, including use of the travel commerce platform’s rich content and branding merchandising tool.

Travelport will soon further support Plus Ultra by giving the airline the opportunity to create Iata New Distribution Capability connections and display NDC-based airline content on its platform.

Plus Ultra sales manager Rosa Iglesias said: “Our collaboration with Travelport provides us with a powerful advantage.

“Delivering strong visuals and detailed descriptions of our products and services to our travel agency partners – just like on our websites – will increase the visibility of our flight options and value to travellers.”

Travelport Spain country manager Fred Lindgren added: “Plus Ultra’s participation in Travelport’s rich content and branding is another significant endorsement from the Spanish airline industry for the value our technology leadership and merchandising capabilities provide.

“We are looking forward to helping Plus Ultra to meet its growth objectives, while continuing to accelerate Travelport’s position in the Spanish travel industry.”
