Triptease has announced the European leg of its Direct Booking Summit series of events will be hosted by NH Collection’s five-star Barbizon Palace in Amsterdam.

The two-day event will take place on June 27-28 and is the first of three planned for 2018/19, the other two taking place in Dallas in October and Singapore in early 2019.

Triptease said the Barbizon Palace, which is located close to the centre of Amsterdam and features the city’s oldest chapel in which the summit will take place, is an appropriate setting to discuss direct bookings and guest experience.

Triptease cofounder Charlie Osmond said: “There’s no better setting for the 2018 Direct Booking Summit than a converted 15th-century chapel at the NH Barbizon Palace in Amsterdam! We’re huge fans of the NH brand and we’re excited to be hosting the event at such a unique venue.

“It’s the perfect backdrop to discuss the hotel industry in 2018, and we can’t wait to get stuck into some of this year’s topics. I’m particularly looking forward to talking about the growth of Google’s travel offering and what it means for hotels.”

The firm said:  “Like previous summits, we’re expecting hundreds of hoteliers, including those from up and coming independent brands to representatives from world-leading groups, to join us to strategise, network and drive the direct booking movement forward.

“Previous speakers and delegates have come from Hyatt, The Leading Hotels of the World, Deutsche Hospitality, Kempinski Hotels, Trivago, Kalibri Labs, McKinsey & Company, ReviewPro, The Guestbook and Mirai.

“This year’s line-up is shaping up to be equally as impressive. We’ll be announcing it soon so stay tuned to the blog and our social media for updates.”

Further details of the European summit’s social activity including the summit after party are also due to be revealed soon.

All-inclusive tickets for the Amsterdam event are available for €150 off standard price.
