Holiday Extras and On the Beach non-executive director David Kelly is joining travel technology firm ATCORE as chairman.

Kelly is a former chief operating officer at lastminute.com and operations director at Amazon.co.uk

He is chairman of Simply Business and also acts as a non-executive director at lottery firm Camelot and media company Trinity Mirror.

Kelly’s speciality is leading internet and technology businesses, from start-ups to fast-scaling and established global brands.

His appointment supports the strategic growth plan of ATCORE, focusing on a targeted acquisition strategy and driving international expansion.

Chief executive, Dave Cruickshank, said: “It’s fantastic for the business to have David join as chairman. His outstanding track record in fast growth businesses, deep technology heritage along with his experience in the travel sector is going to be invaluable as we work together to deliver our strategy.”
