Family days out in the UK website Days Out With The Kids claims to have attracted 26 million visitors since a relaunch a year ago.

The revamp came after a takeover by Attraction World Group in autumn 2016.

Staff numbers at the Birmingham-based family travel site have since tripled with 13 people working across digital marketing, brand, sales and content, with four more roles being created.

The company plans to move to new offices with Attraction World later this year alongside a new product launch designed to give members benefits wit selected partner businesses.

The most viewed categories and sub-categories in 2017 were:

Top viewed categories in 2017
• Sightseeing (7.9 million)
• Sports and Activities (7.7 million)
• Adventure (5.3 million)

Top viewed sub-categories in 2017
• Indoor and soft play areas (3.7 million)
• Parks and playgrounds (3.3 million)
• Children’s Farms (2.6 million)

The company predicts a greater focus on added value features this year, more live entertainment shows, augmented and virtual reality shows becoming more mainstream and more extended stay packages at attractions

Chief executive, Paul Stobbs, said: “The past 12 months have given us a really solid foundation for growth and we’re really excited that over 17 million families have put their trust in us to find great days out this year.

“We’re looking forward to building on everything we’ve achieved and with the ambitious strategy we have in place for the next 12 months, 2018 is set to be another year of growth.”
