SITA inks deal with iPass to offer Wi-Fi connectability on its global marketplace
Global Wi-Fi connectivity provider iPass has enhanced its partnership with aviation technology specialist SITA.
The extended deal will see iPass’s SmartConnect global connectivity services made available through SITA’s dedicated online air travel marketplace, Marketplace.aero.
Marketplace.aero’s 2,500 small and medium-sized airline and airport customers globally are now able to enquire about iPass SmartConnect through an online portal and receive support to purchase.
Later this year, customers will be able to purchase iPass SmartConnect through a secure, digital checkout platform.
The service will enable air travel businesses to offer their employees secure, always-on access on any mobile device to the iPass Wi-Fi network.
The service ensures that employees stay connected regardless of the country they are in, allowing them to access business applications, such as email, flight, crew and weather apps, and schedule emergency cover, without running up costs.
