TripAdvisor is to incorporate restaurant delivery service Deliveroo into its listings in cities across 12 countries.

Customers will be able to access Deliveroo in more than 140 cities by clicking “order online” within TripAdvisor.

The scheme will connect more than 20,000 restaurants through a partnership between the two firms.

The countries where the new feature will apply are the UK, Ireland, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Belgium, the Netherlands, United Arab Emirates, Singapore, Hong Kong and Australia.

Terms and length of the agreement will not be disclosed, the two companies said.

Bertrand Jelensperger, senior vice president, TripAdvisor Restaurants, said: “Through this partnership with Deliveroo, we aim to give our restaurant listings a new way to engage with the TripAdvisor community – both at home and on-the-go.

“TripAdvisor is already a highly effective marketing platform for restaurants, and new services like food delivery create incremental value for both businesses as well as consumers

“Whether reading reviews, reserving a table through TheFork or placing a food order through Deliveroo, our goal is for TripAdvisor to serve as a one-stop-shop for diners around the world.”
