Karen McCarthy has been recruited from easyJet to become a key account manager for Traveltek.

She worked in a major business support role at the low-cost carrier and will become part of an expanded customer services delivery team at the travel and cruise technology company.

McCarthy has more than 10 years’ experience in account management, sales and business development roles with leading bed banks and operators including Medhotels, Argo Holidays and Youtravel.com.

The appointment comes just weeks after Scott Hanney was named general manager of the customer services team.

McCarthy will report to Hanney, who said: “Karen’s vast experience as a business support and account manager across several verticals including tour operators, bed banks and airlines, will help take our customer service support levels to new heights.

“She has the right personality and skillset to give our rapidly-growing portfolio of clients the attention they deserve and we welcome her to the Traveltek family.”

Emma Stebbings was last week appointed as a key account manager for the company.
