Sabre is to distribute Expedia hotel rates to agents following a trial since August.

Sabre-connected agents will be able to instantly book Expedia Affiliate Network rates and select from more than 87,000 properties worldwide.

They include full-service hotels and resorts, B&Bs and small inns, airport hotels, boutique hotels, budget hotels and serviced apartments.

While the new hotel content covers all regions, many properties are in Europe, the Middle East and Asia.

EAN sales vice president, Christian Gerron, said: “The level of interest we’ve experienced in the trial phase has confirmed there’s real demand for our properties through Sabre, and we’re delighted to now bring that content fully online for all agents.

“We’re making it as easy for agents to book Expedia properties as those of any hotel chain or other supplier.”

Sabre Travel Network lodging, ground and sea senior vice president, Traci Mercer, said: “Our strategic collaboration with EAN aims to connect our global travel agency network with their leading global brand and full breadth of properties, bringing to agents an unparalleled level of choice to meet travellers’ accommodation preferences.

“The recent integration with EAN has empowered the way agents have access to rates and availability while providing hotels with the ability to merchandise their products, property attributes and personalize offerings.”
