A key member of the team that launched Mail Online in 2006 is joining travel technology company Inn Style as a non-executive director.

Paul Field was editor-in-chief of the Irish Daily Mail and Irish Mail on Sunday and executive editor of The Mail on Sunday.

He also spent two years in New York as the youngest editor-in-chief of the National Enquirer.

Fieldis now is EMEA chief executive of New York-based smart video technology company TouchCast.

Inn Style is a search and booking platform for the UK’s major tourism regions, including the Lake District, Cornwall, and the Suffolk coast.

It enables accommodation owners to take direct bookings through their own websites while managing availability on major booking sites such as Booking.com, Expedia and Airbnb.

Inn Style chief executive, Adrian Melrose, said: “Paul has already demonstrated how he can elevate the ordinary to the extraordinary.

“Our business is set to accelerate with several major partnerships in our sights.

“I have no doubt that having him on our team will help us in our mission to change the face of online booking for both guests and accommodations”

Field added: “Inn Style is a fast-paced, innovative company with a great story to tell.

“Having spent much time with them before coming on board it is clear to me that this is a company willing to challenge the status quo and deliver innovative solutions.

“I am excited to become part of this disruption, especially when the outlook for growing the business has never been as strong.”
