World Travel Market is looking into expanding the size of its travel technology stands for the 2017 exhibition.

Many technology exhibitors have expressed an interest in increasing the size of their displays with nine months to go to the event.

The Travel Tech Show is described as a ‘show within in a show’ at WTM London, which is back at Excel this year.

Technology products, gadgets, tools and services related to travel are exhibited and discussed.

Vamoos, for example, is expanding its exhibition space in the WTM Travel Tech Show by 50% to showcase its app that allows travel companies to deliver travel documents, itinerary, destination information, mapping and weather forecasts to a mobile or tablet.

Hotelkit, a Salzburg-based hotel operations and communications software company, is doubling its stand space to 20sqm for 2017. The company helps individual hotels and chains with internal communication and monitoring quality and process management.

E-booking software provider Availpro, which bids to help hotels increase occupancy and revenue while saving costs, is also after a bigger stand.

HQ plus has also signed up to a larger exhibition space. The company offers hotel revenue managers a cloud-based competitor analysis tool to monitor price developments, city trends and events in real-time.

WTM’s announcement comes ahead of Travel Technology Europe, which takes place this week at London Olympia with up to 6,000 travel and technology leaders expected to attend on February 22 and 23.

WTM London senior director, Simon Press said: “The Travel Tech Show at WTM is the UK’s largest travel technology show, providing an under-one-roof platform for suppliers to meet with key decision makers looking to source technology systems and software.

“The event continues to grow and played a significant role in WTM London 2016 facilitating almost £2.8 billion in industry deals.

“From wearables to cloud-based solutions, apps and reservation systems, the very latest travel technological developments are at the Travel Technology Show at WTM London 2017.”
