Technology developer DerbySoft has partnered with travel technology firm Amadeus in a bid to give all hotels – big or small – the chance to share their content and boost online bookings.

The companies believe the internet age gives smaller hotels the chance to compete against larger chains.

Their partnership will give hotels registered on Amadeus’ global distribution system access to advertise rooms through metasearch engines and OTAs.

Independent hotels under Amadeus LinkHotel will also benefit from this connection.

Keith Cotton, senior vice president of global business at Silicon Valley-based DerbySoft, said: “Amadeus’ hotel customers will have access to a much wider audience through the DerbySoft connection and interface, and with no additional implementation costs. We are very pleased to be working with Amadeus and to be helping hotels boost bookings and achieve new levels of growth.”

Hotels can optimise marketing budgets by selecting the right channel to manually or automatically placing the right offer in front of the travel seller at exactly the right time to increase personalisation, the companies say.

Peter Waters, director of hotel distribution at Amadeus, added: “Amadeus prides itself on playing at the forefront of technology and the partnership with DerbySoft is a testament to this. Not only does the partnership allow Amadeus hotel customers to instantly amplify their distribution reach, but also provides the largest online players with critical new room offering.”
