Vertical Group-owned OTA Instant Travel says it is confident of achieving 10,000 unique daily visitors by the end of the year driven by search engine optimisation.

The site currently has just 1,000 daily visitors, but plans to increase the number of pages indexed with Google from 130,000 to one million this year, and eventually to 20 to 30 million.

Instant also plans to increase its destination landing pages from 700 to 15,000 featuring unique content that will appeal to Google searches.

Peter Healey, Vertical founder and group chief executive, said the site today offers 32 million good value holiday deals and this will increase to 100 million by the end of the year.

But he said the emerging strategy of Instant Holidays is to “prebake” packaged deals rather than simply offering users unlimited options they can put together themselves.

This will see holidays of more flexible durations introduced as well as more traditional seven and 14-night trips.

“We are saying this is what’s available. We are trying to change our relationship with clients,” Healey said.

“We want them to have what they want but don’t want them to waste time looking for something we have not got.

“This is about going shopping, rather than imagining going shopping.”

The Instant website now features a Cheapest Holidays tab that links to a grid showing destinations, departure months and the best prices.
